A three day weekend, so maybe there’s time after all to catch up this weekend!
There was sun spotted today, so this share might be outside, trying to chase away the clouds from the rest of the area!
I would ask about your plans for this weekend, and want to listen to all the exciting things that you have planned. New places to see, new memories to be made. I’d listen to how your week has been, stuck between Easter and this bank holiday, this week seems to have flown by, as has April.
This week I’ve started a new mini photography project, and by started I mean I’ve not taken a single snap of the project yet! Too much to prepare first, and if I’m honest the clicking sound that I admire, probably won’t come until near the end of the project. Something to get my teeth into though.
There’s been new photography of birds, and still more photos waiting to be shared. The photography section on this site has been updated, some tweaks to the Facebook page, and a price list created for all those photography prints.
During sips of something sweet, I would let you know that my current mood is that good, that I’m choosing to not to react to those fixing their car. The little ones are happy, and that’s half the battle. If they are happy and there’s no world war three over (Add some insignificant inanimate object here) then I’m happy too.
What’s the one thing you didn’t want to do this week? Mine has been physiotherapy exercises. They suck. They hurt, and they fully highlight how ‘normal’ the strength and range of movement in my leg is not right now. But they are very much needed. A determination to beat the angle measurements next week, means continuing on.
That has led to a little grumble, which, I don’t even feel to be the right person to say. But, I have much more admiration this week for those that do have illnesses, accidents or disabilities that restrict their movements on a longer basis than my own. Some experiences have been easier than I imagined, others, well, let’s just say the U.K can do more to help give access to all places and shops to everyone. The very skinny paths that you can’t use, to the shops that have access for all, only to pile up each side of the entrance with their products, making for small aisles into the store. To those people who don’t, can’t or won’t give space to those requiring additional help to move around, or even allowing them to sit.
To end on a happy note, I would ask about what you have planned for next week, what’s got you excited? Are you surprised that we are less than 48 hours away from May? I know I am!
Go enjoy that cooled beverage, and hopefully see you the other side with more snaps!
The sun is up, birds are tweeting, coffee consumed…. Happy Monday everyone!
If you’re out and about in your car today in the U.K, be careful as today is the day that speeding fines have increased. The fines can now be up to 150% of your weekly wages. Here’s to hoping that this will now be a real deterrent to those that put safety and lives at risk.
In better news, today 24th April was the day that the Congress library was established (1800), and Churchill was knighted (1953). In 1990 the Hubble telescope also took off for space, with the space shuttle Discovery.
With all that in mind, that’s enough Monday motivation to think that perhaps this Monday we might all achieve something too!
I’ll be back at the crafting today, and there’s some new images of animals that tweet waiting to jump off the SD card into the computer!
Here’s a new image for you to hopefully banish that Monday feeling –
Enjoy, and be Monday motivated!

A mini celebration here as this week the total followers has tipped over the 100 mark, so a big thank you!
Nothing fancy to mark the occasion, as life in the form of a leg splint has kind of got in the way (doesn’t it always!). However, as a big thank you to all the followers across all platforms, I’m going to share a little about me, would love to hear something from you, and also a new photograph too!
So, as I’m sharing a little about me, here’s a first of an image of me, AKA the dreaded photography selfie. Note the lack of bandaged leg pictures that I was considering posting due to the sarcasm of someone sat close by, and perhaps a change of hair colour since this was taken as well. But otherwise a face to the blog at last!
Here are five random facts about me, and I would love it too if you, the readers could answer these too in the comments :
Favourite word is – oxymoron. I heard it for the first time sat in GCSE English and it’s stuck ever since. The sound of the word, and the fact there is a word to describe opposites together is what draws me in. More so, hearing the way that Carol Ann Duffy used the oxymoron in her poem Havisham ‘Beloved sweetheart Bast*** ‘ making an insult sound so good!
The song currently spinning around my head is – ‘Skin’ by Rag n Bone man. Love the lyrics and how he describes almost love. It’s like he’s been there, giving it his all, and it’s still ended.
The food I’m about to eat is – Lasagne!
My earliest memory of writing stories is – Sitting in school, writing on white A4 sheets of paper. Drawing your own guidelines with a ruler and pencil, trying your best to write in pen. Concentrating on remembering to put a date and title at the top, your name at the bottom. Then spending far too long with the coloured pencils colouring in decorative borders and pictures around and below your writing piece!
My claim to fame is – Meeting Ant n Dec on a ferry when I was about ten years old, with their bodyguards in tow. Also, I once got Band with no name to sign a pair of jeans… but we’ll leave that box of frogs sealed for now!
So now you know 5 random facts about me, I would love to hear yours too! Don’t forget to add what your blog is if you have one, and I’ll take a visit soon as well.

Here’s another new image as promised for sitting patiently through my ramblings –
Life is a journey. A journey made up of several experiences, steps and pieces along the way, not one. Each piece is as important as the last and the next, each one tells a story, to express, to give, to keep. Creating art, photography, crafty gifts with poetry and ramblings along the way!
